9 Lives is an immersive wine brand that brings with it big personality. DAf’s prior campaign for them hit the stylistic and mood mark to create a fantasy world with the tagline “Shift Your Shape” had an otherworldly sense to it. Now the brand was looking for a new way to continue to communicate the personality associated with each wine, but in a more expansive, luminous way, to speak to elements within ourselves that can be expressed with each wine.

Solution

Each of the 8 wines has a different name to encapsulate a trait, such as Zen, Delirious, Epic, Daring or Inspiring. For each of these, we created a scene that these Gen Z consumers can be inspired by, such as a man intensely inspired by the wine playing piano (Delirious, Cabernet Sauvignon), two women enjoying a refreshing glass of wine in a celestial setting, while the world turns to ice around them (Fierce, Sauvignon Blanc), or a charged passionate scene with a billowing red background (Apasionado, Red Blend).

Brand Video

We created different versions of the brand video to showcase the wines to be brought to different markets. The videos invite consumers to enter the world of 9 Lives. We created short, immersive scenes to showcase the emotions each wine engenders, with each wine expressing a different personality and color palette.
