Diablo
Video, Production
“What will it take?” was a campaign created by Diablo for the US market. With said campaign in hand, the long-time client came to DAf to put it on the big screen. They needed to film two emotionally stirring videos with high production values.
Harkening back to our roots in production, we saw the best combination of our know-how plus technology as using a Virtual Set, which is a series of curved screens that allow the camera to capture the actors within the set, and allows the actors to interact with the set as though it is real. We created two videos that show actors in positions of great emotional importance, entering a concert venue, approaching the threshold of a house under dramatic skies, crossing bridges in unknown cities, and through doors into the luminous beyond. The effect is evocative and mysterious, evoking an emotional note that dares viewers to act. Making of An additional feature of this campaign is a making of video we shot with Lynn Balaresque Gray, Global Marketing Manager for Casillero del Diablo and Diablo. In the video, she speaks about the brand and how this campaign dovetails with their vision of the consumer as a person who pushes boundaries, while scenes from the virtual set play behind her. This video is for use in-store on screens in supermarkets.
