For yet another collaboration between Casillero del Diablo and the beloved Manchester United Football club, Casillero came to DAf to ask us to design a campaign to publicize a contest open to the public to travel to England and play at Old Trafford.

Solution

We designed a contest that hinges on registering on a website together with a friend to win a Legendary Ticket. This prize entails a three day paid trip to England to play at old Trafford for the winner and a friend. The global campaign focused on the United States, United Kingdom, Chile and Poland.

Campaign Video

The campaign video shows a bottle of Casillero del Diablo wine and the front of the Old Trafford stadium, and a series of players holding the legendary ticket, with each successive player ripping it out of the hands of the player before. It has upbeat percussive music and a voiceover that encourages the public to nominate a legend at the campaign website. It was used on television and in social media.

Key Visual

The key visual–in Spanish, English and Polish–invites people to reward the legend in their life, with a photo of three players superimposed on the pitch, with the giant golden legendary ticket in one of their hands. The words “win a three-day paid trip to Manchester for you and a friend” appear in the key visual, as well as a bottle of Casillero del Diablo wine.

DAf designed and created an interactive website for this contest. Combining video of Old Trafford, graphics of “el Diablo” and photographs, the web platform guides participants through the process of nominating their personal legend, finalizing with the generation of a personalized Legendary Ticket. Making the contest entry experience as visually lush and polished as the rest of the campaign brought a level of professionalism befitting these two world-class brands, and the personalized Legendary Ticket encouraged users to share the campaign on social media.
