A Pact with the Extraordinary

Diablo needed a refresh for its established “A Pact with the Extraordinary” campaign, to reignite interest and present its expanded range of wines. They wanted to take the story that DAf created for the initial campaign even further and give more depth to the idea of the pact and the Diablo world.

Solution

DAf developed a new video and campaign for this latest iteration, with a focus on driving traffic to Diablo’s Instagram profile. The video highlights storytelling and how Diablo makes consumers feel over more technical information, reinforcing the millennial audience’s sense of belonging to this sensual world.

Video

The video once again features two mysterious characters, one female and one male, exploring a mysterious garden. The nighttime setting and seductive voiceover lend a forbidden quality to the encounter, inviting the audience to give in to temptation and sign this pact with Diablo. Because the range of wines now includes white as well as red, DAf wanted to give a nod to freshness by filming outside, making it feel as though we are now in the gardens of the mansion where the previous campaign video took place.

Key Visual

We created a set of key visuals featuring several combinations of the expanded Diablo range, allowing the client to highlight different SKUs as needed in both static images and as the final image in the campaign video. The opulent setting was created with dark red tones and a highly veined marble surface that relates to the texture on the wines’ labels. The image of the glowing Devil projected on the back wall reminds us that we are in the Diablo’s world.
